At Pasitos, we have built a pedagogical project that draws from sources such as Waldorf, Montessori, Pikler, and Reggio Emilia pedagogy. The heart of our daily life is a respectful and conscious education, guided by the principles of positive discipline.
The child as the center: For us, each child is the architect of their own learning. Our job is to observe, listen, and start from their natural curiosity, from that innate desire to touch, try, and ask questions. Thus, knowledge is born from personal experience and becomes something profound and personal.
The bond, our foundation: Emotional security is the foundation for growth. Therefore, we prioritize creating strong affective bonds and a climate of trust where all emotions have a place. Children feel heard and understood, which gives them the security to explore the world.
Respectful accompaniment: We fully trust in each child's ability. Our role is to be companions in their discovery, offering presence, love, and empathy as they experiment and develop their potential at their own pace.
Autonomy and learning: We foster their independence by respecting their individual process. The "trials" and "errors" are, for us, invaluable steps on the path of learning. We celebrate effort as much as results, because each attempt brings them closer to a new achievement.
The power of free play: We reserve an essential space for non-directed play. It is their universal language, the tool with which they understand the world, practice social roles, manage their emotions, unleash their creativity, and express their inner world. At Pasitos, playing is something very valuable.
